Art of Paradise
Art in Paradise (sometimes referred to as "Art of Paradise") is Thailand's first — and one of the world's largest — interactive 3D art museums. Spread across roughly 5,800 square meters, it features over 100 hand-painted optical illusion artworks designed not just to be viewed, but to be climbed into, touched, and photographed as if you're part of the scene.
Timings
Opening hours: Daily, roughly 9:00 AM to 9:00–10:30 PM (ticket counters typically close 1–1.5 hours before closing).
Best time to visit: Mornings, especially on weekdays, are the quietest — ideal if you want empty backgrounds for photos without other visitors in frame. Evenings can be busier but have a livelier atmosphere.
Time needed: Most visitors spend 1.5–2 hours exploring and taking photos, though it's self-paced, so photography enthusiasts can easily spend longer working every angle.
Experiences & Highlights
Themed zones — including Underwater World, Wildlife/Safari, Fantasy, Ancient Civilizations, Dinosaurs, Waterfalls, and Classic Art, each with its own optical-illusion murals.
Fully interactive art — pose inside a shark's mouth, "fly" with eagles, walk a rickety bridge over a canyon, or float down a painted Venetian canal — the murals are designed with forced perspective so photos look three-dimensional.
AR app integration — point your phone at select paintings through the museum's app to add moving digital effects and animations to your photos and videos.
Ice sculpture displays — some sections feature intricate ice carvings depicting Thai culture and landmarks, with a cool, air-conditioned "winter" environment.
Posing guides — floor and wall markers at many exhibits show you exactly where to stand and how to position yourself for the best illusion effect.
Fully indoor and air-conditioned — a comfortable option regardless of Pattaya's heat or rain.
